The Asia-Pacific Business Forum 2018 will be held on the 10th and 11th of April at Cyberport, Hong Kong, China. The APBF is a joint effort of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission of Asia and the Pacific, the regional development arm of the United Nations for the Asia-Pacific region, and Cyberport which is a digital community with over 1000 technology companies. This Forum has the support of the Innovation and Technology Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and in cooperation with the ESCAP Sustainable Business Network (ESBN).
Over the course of 2 days the Forum, comprised of 57 speakers, will discuss how business engagement in achieving inclusive and sustainable development in the Asia-Pacific region can be strengthened, more specifically how private sector-led innovation, technology, and financing can enhance efforts towards the achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
The Asia-Pacific Business Forum’s first edition was in 2004 and attracted over 2000 participants from the areas of business, government, academia and civil society across the region. Since the beginning, it has helped form a Pan-Asian multi-stakeholder network and has been hosted in various locations like Almaty, Bangkok, Colombo, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Kunming. Its mission is to provide the best platform for regional public/private sector dialogue and sustainable development.
Media Invest Group, a parent company of MyBusiness.com, will participate in the APBF and present a new Virtual Reality technology for the events sector. Virtual Fair technology can enable the creation of new economic and social models for a more sustainable digital world. The technology will be presented by Pedro Eloy, chairman ESBN Taskforce, and Miguel Cordeiro, Media Invest Group’s CEO.
