The University - Model 1, created in 1290, is one of the oldest universities in the world still in operation, being the oldest and one of the largest in the country. The University is made up of 3 poles, 8 faculties and 18 museums, the institution also has the Botanical Garden and the Coimbra University Stadium in a space with 25,188 students in 2020.
