The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Portuguese-speaking Countries in the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau (China) is a multilateral, non-profit organization with a distinctly business-oriented focus. It aims to develop and promote economic and commercial relations, and more broadly, improve the trade and investment environment among the countries involved, while simultaneously strengthening the competitive position of companies engaged in the internationalization process, especially with China.
The Chamber's primary objective is to promote commercial, economic, and business relations between Portuguese-speaking countries (PLP) and China (PRC) through the Greater Bay Area of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau. It supports companies and entrepreneurs in seizing investment and business opportunities by offering services, guidance, and advice, as well as organizing missions and conferences to provide its members with top-tier networking opportunities.
Headquartered in the Macau Special Administrative Region, the Chamber will represent the interests of its members and coordinate joint proposals to submit to relevant governmental institutions and bodies, aiming to improve the business environment for Portuguese-speaking countries. By fostering dialogue on Portuguese-speaking countries, their business environments, and their markets, with a special emphasis on the Greater Bay Area of Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Macau, China, the Chamber seeks to enhance mutual understanding and facilitate and stimulate commercial relations between its members and the countries involved.
As the Chamber is now in its startup phase, throughout this year (the Year of the Dragon), it will develop contacts and extend invitations to prospective members, particularly those who will form its core driving group, representing companies from all the countries involved. Simultaneously, contacts will be made with official entities and professional or other associations relevant to the future development of the Chamber.
Institutional contacts with various countries and their key entities will also be developed throughout the year, alongside the internal structuring and organization of the Chamber to support the planned level of intervention and assistance.
